Treat Yo Self: Frilly Lilly Comes to Edmonton
Amongst the hustle and bustle of the busy holiday season I had the pleasure of visiting Edmonton's newest beauty boutique- Frilly Lilly for some much needed "me time". One of my goals for the new year is to slow down and take more time for myself so I got a bit of a head start on that goal with my visit in December. Frilly Lilly is a Canadian company that started in Calgary but has since expanded across Canada and the US and has just opened it's doors in Edmonton.
As soon as I entered I knew I was going to love this place. Antiqued pretty furniture, gorgeous packaging on luscious smelling products and pretty jewellery and stationary fills the front entry of this beauty boutique.
I had the best time receiving a full day of pampering. A shellac mani/pedi and a brow wax and tint were all a part of my relaxing morning at Frilly Lilly. I've never had my brows tinted and I'll tell you as a blonde with fair brows (who's also too lazy to fill them in most days) - it was life changing. Do you know what it's like to wake up with your brows already "on fleek" without having to do anything?! It's amazing.
I had a hard time choosing from so many shellac color options but opted for a taupey-grey neutral for my nails and the prettiest lilac for my toes. I love shellac because it lasts so long and doesn't chip, because who's got time for that?! Frilly Lilly makes their own lotions and spa products and they all smell so good, not to mention come in the prettiest packaging. The store basically looks like it's right out of a pinterest board with mix and match antique furniture and accessories, floral light fixtures (there were three!!) and the prettiest pastel palette. For this girly girl, it was heaven.
My esthetician Natasha was absolutely incredible. She really took her time to explain the process when she was doing my brows since I'd never had them tinted before (and let's be honest, it had been a loooong time since they'd been waxed either! lol) and my mani/pedi was fun and super relaxing- she was an absolute doll so thanks girl if you're reading!! XO
Thanks again to Frilly Lilly for having me and generously providing me with these services to review. And if you're in Edmonton I highly recommend giving them a try, what could be better than mani/pedi's, getting your brows done and a little bit of shopping all in one place?! Now go on, treat yo self!
