Best Fall Lipcolors
Changing seasons call for different trends and as always as the weather cools down, beauty looks get warmer and the colors get richer. It's only in the past year or so that I've started wearing lipstick regularly (up until then I was a lipgloss only girl) and this year I was really looking forward to busting out some fall lip colors. You might remember that last year I shared my spring lipstick trends with Jen Bagnariol so I thought for this year, I'd do the same for fall. Here's my 5 favorite glosses, lipsticks and crayons!
1. Veil Beauty Lipstick: Blushing
I love the #yeg duo behind Veil beauty and this is not the first time I've talked about them on the blog! This color really is great for year round but it's one I love because it's a great day to day look. A soft bit of color that's not too bold, just perfect when you want a little something extra without going for a deep hue. Plus you know I love to support local and women in business so it's pretty much a win, win, win situation!
2. Julep Light on Your Lips: Happy Hour
This is a new color that I've just recently put into rotation and I love it. It's a fun bright berry that leans toward a purple almost radiant-orchid hue. One swipe keeps the color soft and pretty while an extra coat really pops! The color is also moisturising which is always a bonus.
3. Julep Lip Gloss: Lively
Another Julep pick here because I love their gloss. I picked this color because I wanted a berry red for fall and I love the formula of this gloss. It's a sheer gloss that has a bit of shine and the color intensifies depending on how much you use.
4. Tarte LipSurgence Matte Lip Tint: Fancy
This long lasting and highly pigmented crayon is a gorgeous matte color. A deep berry hue that's going to pair so well with chunky knits and these leopard boots, I love how rich this color is. It lasts a very long time but as a tip you might want to have a clear gloss or vaseline on hand if your lips are extra dry as it's not glossy at all.
5. Tarte Lipsurgence Gloss: Belle
Last and certainly not least is what might be my favorite of the bunch. This gloss from Tarte packs a lot of color punch and doesn't take much to go a long way. As it's a gloss it doesn't last as long as the Tarte crayons but the color is so gorgeous and the glossy finish makes this girl happy. I feel like it's the perfect combo of the bold color you get from a lipstick with all the goodness I love about a shiny gloss.
