Wanderlust Gift Guide
Happy Monday everyone! I wanted to start the week off with the first of my many gift guides for the holiday season. We all have that person in our lives, the one who loves to travel and is constantly exploring. They're always on the go and filling the pages of their passport. What do you get for this person? Today I've got a few great ideas and I don't know about you, but I know I'd like some of these gifts!
One: If you've got a long flight ahead of you - what do you want? For me, I know I like to indulge in the occasional mid air cocktail and these carry on cocktail kits are amazing! They come with everything you need to make a craft cocktail such as Gin & Tonic, Old Fashioned, or Champagne Cocktail. Each kit serves two and all you need is to purchase the liquor on board! I LOVE this idea- it's also a great gift for honeymooners and at less than $25, would also make an awesome stocking stuffer!
Two: Travel in style with this super cute passport cover! Nothing says I'm ready to travel like an "I'm outta here" passport cover- yes please!
Three: Bright luggage tags are a great way to distinguish your luggage in the never ending sea of black suitcases. This set of 3 is bright, modern and will definitely stand out in a crowd.
Four: All of the mobile checking-in, instagramming and tweeting we do while travelling puts a load on our phone batteries. Since there's nothing worse than running out of juice before posting our obligatory clouds in the sky IG photo, make sure to give your travel loving pal the gift of a portable battery charger like this one. Bonus points if it's equal parts stylish as it is functional.
Five: For a lady (or man) with long locks, going without a blowdryer can be a major inconvenience. When suitcase space is at a premium, it's super convenient to have a handy travel sized blowdryer like this one to bring along your travels.
Six: Time flies when you travel and as great as photos are, it's always amazing if you can write down your memories. A small travel journal is an inexpensive and thoughtful gift for the wanderluster in your life.
Seven: Keep your chargers, earbuds and other tech cords in check with a compact cord organizer like this one. It's the perfect gift for the traveller who doesn't have time to spend untangling cords or searching aimlessly in the bottom of their bag for their earphones.
Eight: Let's say someone in your life has a particular destination planned and you're looking for a thoughtful gift. Why not give a luxurious book based on that location? These Louis Vuitton travel books are beautiful and a great keepsake gift for a loved one. Check out books on the Arctic, New York, Easter Island and South Africa among others.
Nine: Some of the best gifts for the travel lover are the same daily necessities they use at home, just on a smaller scale. That makes this portable, travel sized hair straightener not only super cute, but totally convenient aslo.
Ten: A safe bet for any traveller is great towel. Take it to the beach, the hostel, the campsite - you name it. I love this fringed turkish towel that also doubles as a cozy on flight blanket.
Eleven: I purchased this Umbra travel organizer last year and it has been so great. For jewellery, cosmetics and other personal items - it has a ton of different sized storage compartments and then zips up all around. If that's not enough - it also has handles, even better!
Twelve: Aesop skincare and body products are the ultimate in luxury so for the traveller who enjoys the finer things in life, treat them to the gift of Aesop on the go with this travel size kit of products.
Thirteen: Pretty, pink, compact and less than $30- this carry on luggage is the perfect gift for the feminine traveller in your life.
Fourteen: I don't know about you but I hate throwing shoes in my luggage. I usually wrap them in plastic bags but being the grown ass woman that I am, I figure it's probably time to upgrade to a better bag such as this one. Give this to the guy or girl in your life who's currently toting their shoes around in a plastic bag and bring their travel packing game to a whole new level.
Fifteen: For the delicate jewellery wearing, gold loving, wanderluster on your list - check out this delicate map necklace. But act fast, at less than $12, I'm betting this one is gonna go quick over the holidays!
Sixteen: If the first set of luggage tags was a little too bright and mod, check out these luxe leather and gold script luggage tags. As a bonus, they're less than $20!
Seventeen: Inspire and add to the wanderlust of the traveller in your life by gifting them a book of 100 travel destinations around the world.
Eighteen: They say a picture is worth a thousand words but in the age of smartphones, we tend to take a lot of useless photos. There's something nice about being intentional with special photos and using a polaroid. These cameras have made a major comeback the past few years and I can see why. Capture the most special travel moments with one of these cameras and trust me, they make a great gift.
Nineteen: If a carry on tote isn't your preference - check out this stylish and inexpensive backpack that would be just as great for strolling through the airports as it would be walking the streets of rome or new york or whatever other travel destination tickles your fancy.
Twenty: Last but certainly not least is this cosmetic bag. What could be better for travelling than a "let's blow this town" bag?!
