Scandinavian Style
As you might remember, I've got a serious love for Scandinavian design. The clean lines, bright airy spaces and minimalist approach to scandanavian decor is so refreshing. I love the muted colors, varying textures and often quirky pieces that go along with this style which is why I fell IN LOVE with blackthumb decor.
I was thrilled to learn of the stunning Red Deer based (go Alberta!!) online decor shop specializing in all things Scandanavian! How refreshing to not have to order from the other side of the world to get amazing Scandanavian design pieces. So, in honor of my new favorite online decor destination, I thought I'd do a little roundup of some of my favorite pieces from Blackthumb.
Let's start with brass. Brass minimalist accessories are a stunning addition to any Scandinavian, eclectic or contemporary space. Below are a few of my favourites from Blackthumb.
DETAILS: 1. Brass and Marble Hexagon Stand // 2. Brass Tray // 3. Brass Hexagon Pot // 4. Brass Semicircle Stand // 5. Brass Triangle Stand
Next up is artwork. I love artwork that brings not only texture and visual interest into a space, but also a little personality. Prints are an easy and inexpensive way to majorly up your décor game. I think you might need a few of these in your life, I know I do!
DETAILS: 1. Hands Up Collection of 4 Prints (sold individually as well) // 2. Monstera Deliciosa // 3. Quartz 2 Wooden Illustration // 4. Opuntia
Next up are my favorite kitchen accessories. Blackthumb carries a ton of great ceramics, tea towels, cool cutting boards and more. Blues, blacks and whites and great patterns add the perfect amount of interest to keep your kitchen from feeling blah. Because who wouldn't want to spruce up their kitchen a little bit?!
DETAILS: 1. Mormor Blue Milk Jug // 2. Hexagon Napkin Ring // 3. Kapu Coffee Scoop // 4. Mormor Blue Sugar Bowl // 5. Cutting Board Half Moon // 6. Herb Stand
Last up are my favorites- accessories! Cushions, baskets, throws, trinkets and trays! It's always the little things that end up tying a space together and finishing a room. Accessorizing is always my favorite part of any design project and I'd love to get my hands on some of these beauties for my own space!
