Halloween Mani
A few weeks back Julep asked me to come up with a Halloween inspired manicure look. I could take whatever interpretation of the theme I wanted and no colors or designs were off limits. Being the girly girl that I am I immediately thought of a "day of the dead" kind of look.
That being said I am by NO means a nail artist so I wanted to come up with a design that was colorful, feminine, Halloween appropriate but also totally doable for those of us who aren't nail art divas.
I started by using two coats of Brigitte for the white base. The striping plie wand attachment was perfect for drawing the flowers and the mouth lines for the skull nails. I used the dotting tool plie wand attachment for the skull eyes, dot nail and flower details around the skull eyes and lastly I used thin nail striping tape for the black and white striped nails.
The finished look is a feminine, colorful and fun Halloween look without taking the theme too literally. It might not be perfect but this look is totally do-able (trust me, if I can do it you can too!). What do you think, and do you have any halloween mani tips you think I should try? You can shop my look here where Julep has put together a few of the main tools and colors I used for this fun mani. The colors not included are "Jet" black, "Sam" green and "Lee" red.
