Glamorous Front Entry
A front entry might not often be a room you would associate with glamour but in the Glenora house, that's exactly what it was. Probably the most glamorous front entry I've ever decorated, this space was a stunner before Kristina and I even got started with the decor. ICYMI, I helped my good friend Kristina stage a home that she and her husband flipped and it was only natural to start at the front entry as we worked our way through the house.
This area was transformed from a dated dingy space to a bright open foyer that draws you right into this beautiful home. A rich black ceiling adds major drama and juxtaposes the luxe marble floor. I love that Kristina and her husband added trim detailing to the white walls to add some texture and interest. Add in the light fixture and beautiful double doors and you have a seriously beautiful space.
When we started to select pieces to stage this space we knew we wanted to keep the area feeling open, uncluttered and luxurious. The sleek Delta Console Table from The Brick was perfect against the white wall and made for a great spot to drop your keys, store a few items in the drawer and add a few decorative touches. In a space like this where you have high contrast, it's great to carry that through in a few places which is why the black accents against the white wall really make the space pop!
To continue the feeling of luxury, the Atley Mirror was the perfect addition. I love the unique shape of this mirror and the large scale makes for some major wow factor. In case it looks familiar, it's probably because you remember it from my feminine spare bedroom revamp. You know you've got a great piece when you want to use it everywhere!
Even though there was a full closet on the opposite side of the feature wall, we wanted to add a coat rack for a decorative and practical touch. For purses and totes, frequently worn jackets or with visitors, a coat rack can be a simpler solution for additional storage plus, the look of the Lumai Coat Rack worked perfectly with the rest of the decor in the house.
To finish things off we added a few additional baskets for added storage and decor and we were set. What do you think of this beautiful space? Check out some peeks at the rest of the home here and stay tuned for more details and design tips from this house over the coming weeks!
