Need. Want. Love. Fall Outerwear with Reitmans
October is here, fall is more than officially upon us and as such, comes the challenges of fall dressing in the prairies. Fall is my very favourite season - cool mornings, warmer afternoons and dusts of snow that only stick around for a day or two before disappearing. The changing colors of the leaves and chillier days calling for layers and cozy knits make it my favourite season for dressing as well.
In Alberta we NEED to be warm. The realities of our weather means that we need to be warm and cozy to battle the ever changing elements. We WANT of course, to look fabulous while staying warm. Nobody wants to walk around in unflattering pieces because the ultimate is when you find . a piece that you can LOVE because it checks both boxes. Thankfully at Reitmans they are designing clothes with our Canadian seasons in mind so we can feel warm, stylish and have versatile pieces we can rock throughout the season!
I didn't realize that all of Reitmans clothing is designed by their own team in Montreal where they are very aware of the challenges we face with each changing season. One of my absolute wardrobe staples (especially for fall) is a great leather jacket.
In my opinion a leather jacket is the perfect fall wardrobe essential. A leather jacket looks just as great with jeans and a simple tee as it does paired with a cute dress and booties. Roll up the sleeves for a more casual look, layer with scarves to keep cozy and really, theres not much you can't pair with a leather jacket!
On this particularly picturesque fall day my leather jacket was perfect paired with this gorgeous plum shirt dress, plaid scarf and two tone tote from Reitmans. (On a side note, I can't tell you how many compliments I get on this bag every time I wear it!). What's your go-to piece for fall?
