Get The Look: Cozy and Bright Family Room
When I first saw this room you could say it was love at first sight which is kind of funny because this space isn't totally my usual style. Despite that, something about it has stuck with me over the past few weeks. Maybe it's the casual vibe accented with pops of color, maybe it's the unexpected pops of bright yellow or maybe it's just because it looks like a totally liveable yet absolutely stylish space that is another room beautifully put together by Emily Henderson but all I know is that I love it! So, since it's been a little while since my last Get The Look, I thought I'd break down a few pieces to get this style for yourself.
The grey sofa, sisal area rug and brass looking coffee table set a neutral backdrop for pops of color. Abstract artwork really pops on a floating shelf and a small brass object ties into the coffee table. Lots of greenery gives life to the space while throw cushions and blankets add texture and create a cozy ambiance. I love the unexpected pops of yellow and the bright green pouf. It keeps the space from feeling too stuffy or masculine and they're great playful pieces that you can switch out over time if you tire of the colors.
What do you think of this space, would you ever go bold with unexpected colors?
