Love Gives Freedom
Well hello there, friends and happy Monday! I thought I’d start the week off with a feel good kind of post. Now, in full disclosure, you probably know that I have a partnership with TELUS and while my post on IG today is sponsored, this blog post is one I wanted to write just because I feel so strongly about the cause!
Today I wanted to talk about this ‘Love Gives Freedom’ t-shirt by Canadian designer Nonie. As a part of TELUS’ continuous campaign to #EndBullying, they partnered with Nina Kharey, the creative director at Nonie to design a piece to remind people to lead their lives with love. All proceeds from the sale of this shirt will be given to the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation which supports #EndBullying programs across Canada that encourage kindness, promote digital well being and provide resources to kids across the country as they navigate our ever changing online world.
As someone who spends a lot of their time both personally and professionally online, I feel so strongly about the need for these types of programs. I couldn’t imagine being a pre-teen or teenager right now and having to navigate the pressures of social media or being a parent of a child trying to do so. This is why I wanted to share this message on my blog in addition to on Instagram today.
What also makes this shirt special is Nina’s personal connection and drive to help promote #EndBullying initiatives as she lost her brother through an act of hate and violence. Whether you are also a fan of a great graphic tee like I am or if you feel like this would resonate with someone you know (Christmas is coming and this would make a great gift! *nudge, wink*), this is a purchase you can feel good about making.
