Lunch Break! with Swiss Chalet
Over the year I’ve referenced a lot of the goals that I set at the start of the year and one of the biggest goals I had revolved around my health. Last year I fell into a lot of bad habits when it came to my health…. I wasn’t moving my body and exercising as much as I should have, I wasn’t getting enough sleep and probably the biggest bad habit was not eating enough throughout the day.
I’m very guilty of getting so busy and so caught up in my day that I forget to stop and fuel my body. We can all get caught in that hustle and the ‘go-go-go’ but when that happens and we don’t stop and eat, it doesn’t do our health, our bodies or our energy levels any favours.
As I’ve gotten busier and busier with Kresswell Interiors, Kristina and I have set aside dedicated work days for Kresswell that are long work days sitting at our computers, usually at one of our homes. When we first started scheduling these work days, we were both guilty of looking at the clock at 4:00, only to realize we hadn’t eaten all day!
We now hold each other accountable to healthier habits which include making sure we fuel our bodies with healthy food throughout the day! Quite often, we end up ordering food to be delivered and one of my favourite restaurants to order from is Swiss Chalet.
You may think of the classic rotisserie chicken meals when you think of Swiss Chalet but the last time Kristina, Tracey and myself had a work date we decided to try a few different menu items and you guys, I think I’ve found a few new favourites!
My usual go-to starter from Swiss Chalet are the perogies, but this time I wanted to try something new and went for the Rotisserie Chicken Spring Rolls - they were a huge hit! All 3 of us girls devoured these VERY quickly! haha
We decided to order a few main dishes and share and let me tell you the Rotisserie Chicken Club Wrap did not disappoint. Also, let’s be honest, you can’t go wrong with yam fries, am I right?! haha
Lastly, my favourite dish we got to share between us girls was the Spinach and Mandarin Chicken Salad. You guys - it was SO good that James and I ordered it again the next night #truestory
What’s your go-to on the days you’re too busy to cook? Let me know in the comments below!
