Summer Beauty Faves
Holy smokes y'all where does the time go?! I can't believe we're at the end of June!! I've been a bit lacking in the blogging beauty department as of late so I thought today would be the perfect day for a long overdue round up of some of my current favourites.
I love experimenting and trying new beauty products and these ones have been on heavy rotation as of late. Let me know what you've been using, I'm always looking to try new brands and products!
Shine Up Them Pearly Whites
I picked up some Carbon Coco products from my girl Jen at Bella Casa Day Spa (she's carrying all of the goodies in her spa!) and I've been so excited to use them! I remember when I was very young and my adult teeth started coming in, I overheard my dentist telling my mother that my teeth were looking great but coming in a few shades darker than usual and ever since then I've been self conscious of my smile. Pair that with the copious amount of coffee I consume and well, let's just say that I'm always looking to whiten my chompers. Stay tuned for a full review once I've put these products to use (and their oil pulling system!) but so far, I'm loving the results and it's so simple to incorporate into my usual twice a day brushing routine.
Punch up Your Mani
Summer is the perfect time to bring in bright corals and tangerine colors into your beauty routine and your mani/pedi is the perfect place to do it! I love Zoya nail polish and the colors Cora, Sawyer & Sonja are the perfect polish hues to rock all summer long! So tropical, no?!
Fresh as a Daisy
No one wants to go through the summer with a stank on so finding the perfect light and airy perfume is a must. I won't lie, it was the bottle and packaging that initially drew me into this perfume but the fresh Lin scent by Ruby Brown (exclusively at Simons) is bright, fresh and oh - so perfect for summer!
Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!
Keeping your skin hydrated and protected from the elements is so important especially in the summer. In the beauty world the release of Vichy's Mineral 89 has been a pretty big deal and after trying it myself, I can see why. All you need are two small drops of this potent potion to keep your skin toned, fresh and hydrated. I won't lie, it's pretty much amazing.
Pucker Up!
No beauty roundup on this site would be complete without a lipstick or lip gloss addition. I've used Julep products for years so naturally, I'm a big fan of their lipsticks. My go to shade as of late? Twirl. A pretty pink that's sheer and subtle with one application and gets bright and punchy with a second.
