The Best of 2016 Bloopers: Part 2
In case you missed it, earlier this week I published 20 of the most awkward, unflattering and cringe worthy blooper photos that I've taken over the past year and because I'm a glutton for punishment, today I'm at it again!
Check here for the first post and then scroll down below and enjoy! lol
Got my stank face on
James and I joke that I get a seriously gnarly face in quite a few of my photos that we affectionately dub my "stank face". Definitely not cute for blog photos....
Above: I hit the double whammy with this photo with the stank face and eyes shut combo. Definitely works well with my end of summer look haha
Below: Left: Seeing as I was learning to change an engine air filter, my stank face is maybe understandable as a look of concentration.
Right: I'm not sure what I was doing or why I look so angry about it but you can see for a good reason why this photo didn't make the cut in this outfit post.
Why so serious?
When I don't have my stank face on, I find I get a very serious, sometimes spaced out look in some of my photos. James like to laugh at me when we go through all of the photos together as there are so many where I look SO serious and so concentrated.
Above: You'd think for a post about self love as I'm drawing a heart on the mirror that I wouldn't need to look so very serious. Clearly I wanted that heart to be perfect!
Below: Am I concentrating? Am I confused? Do I know where I am? Who knows - all I know is that this photo didn't make the cut for good reason.
Above: I had so much fun hosting a cooking demo and cookbook launch with Karlynn from The Kitchen Magpie. We had a blast making one of my favourite holiday recipes so I have no idea why I've got my stank face on - the only reasonable explanation I can think of is I was upset that all of the samples disappeared before I had a chance to eat one myself! haha
Little Miss Bossy
These ones are James' favourite. I'll be the first to admit that I can be a bit bossy with James while we're taking photos (although to be honest - that goes both ways lol) but I didn't realize how much so until I started to see all of these photos.
Above: I've already shared a peek at some of the difficulties of shooting blog photos with Herman around and in this photo I was trying to tell him to stay out of the photo so we could finish getting our shots. As you'll see from his inclusion in the post, I didn't win that battle.
Below: I'm not quite sure what was happening here but I'd guess I just wanted James to hurry up with the photos so I could get onto drinking all of the wine in that box!
Case of the giggles
Occasionally while we're taking photos something so funny or ridiculous will set me off into a giggle fit and the results can be quite comical.
Above: While we were trying to take these photos Herman would NOT stop licking my foot - such a little weirdo that guy!
Below: Taking photos with Kristina and Justine was clearly hysterical
Above: Herman again, being weird. Look at his leg! I think in this photo I'm looking at James going "wtf is with this dog"?! lol
Below: I couldn't help but feel completely ridiculous jumping up and down on the bed for this post. It all got to be too much
When you trying to be cute but....
You end up looking a little bit crazed. Unfortunately, this happens more than I'd care to admit.
Above: When you're trying to get excited about a load of amazing beauty goodies but you look like you're ready to eat them instead
Below: When you trying to you look cute and have no idea you've buttoned your jacket up incorrectly #fail
What The....
When it comes to these photos, I just don't even know....
Above: Getting the perfect IG shot is hard work
Below: I don't think I've ever been so cold taking outfit photos. It was absolutely freezing when we shot this look at we kept the car running only a few feet away so I could run in and warm up every few minutes. Clearly, that shows...
And to finish it all off I thought I'd share a cute photo James snapped of Herman and I having a moment while he was setting up the shot for our living room photos. Thanks again for taking the most embarrassing trip down memory lane I could possibly imagine. Here's to many more horrendous bloopers and outtakes in 2017!
