The Perfect End of Summer Cocktail
As we near the end of summer (remember, it's technically summer until Sept 22!), my palette starts to shift from chilled rosé on the patio to slightly more fall inspired drinks. Gin to me is the ultimate summer sip (remember last week's gin, mint, cucumber + prosecco concoction?!) so I wanted to share a great end of summer cocktail with all of you who are also holding on to the last few weeks of summer! I got together with my OG blogging bestie (like legit, Kira was my first internet friend turned real life girlfriend!) Kira from Northern Style Exposure to share this tasty recipe. Her palm print wallpaper is just to DIE for, isn't it?! **
Her palm leaf paper is this decal from Rocky Mountain Decals but I've shared a few links to some of my other faves below!
Like pretty much any of the recipes I share here, this one is crazy simple, totally delicious and made with my favourite Gin - Edmonton's own Hansen Distillery's Trouble Gin (yay, support local!!). In addition to using local gin, Kira and I also made this cocktail with ingredients from SPUD Local Organic Grocery Delivery too so you know, this is a drink you can feel good about enjoying on so many levels! haha if you've never tried SPUD before, use my referral code CREDM-TIDDIA for $25 off your first order!
Okay, now onto business - to make this cocktail muddle 1/2 a peach in your glass and squeeze in the juice of half a lime. Add in 2oz of gin + a bit of ice then throw in some peach and lime slices for extra flavour and to make your drink extra pretty too ;) Top it off with a sparkling water or soda and you're all done! Stir, sip and enjoy!
Huge thanks to Kira for having me over for a fun girls day with cocktails, girl chat and photos too! Photos by Clara Cecilia Photography
