We've all seen golden hues trending for a while now, but I am OBSESSING over freesia. Seeing this look on the red carpets lately, it reminds me of when I initially loved this look on Michelle Williams in Vera Wang aaalll the way back in 2006. | Image | Most likely due to Pantone's 2014 Spring report, (yes, we talk about Pantone A LOT) we have seen a surge in freesia, and it's warmer counter part saffron, both new pieces and celebs pulling out the vintage for the red carpet.

Rocking more of a vintage saffron hue, Kim Kardashian wears Max Mara coat at THR's women in entertainment breakfast. 2013 | Image

Again in a gorgeous golden saffron, Camilla Alves in Vintage Donna Karan at the 2014 Sag Awards | Image

Shades of this tone look great on everyone, from the fair Michelle and Julianne, to the olive skin tones of Kim and Camilla. Together they have inspired me to source out some of the best places to find of pop of saffron for your spring wardrobe.

Long Sleeve Dress by Zara. This flowy number is perfect for a casual day out, pair simple neckline with a statement necklace in gunmetal grey.

If a full on frock is a bit out of your comfort zone, consider adding in a couple of accessory pieces for a pop of colour such as the Nora Pendant or the Double Clutch in Citrine Perf by the always on trend Stella and Dot.

Your casa doesn't have to miss out on this perfect for spring trend, either! Adding fresh flowers will liven up any room like these from Swish, or how about a funky chevron throw from Simon's that will only set you back $30.
