Winter Outfits CAN Be Cute.

Welcome back to our first full week of posts at 204 Park! Now that the holidays are over and 2014 is here, we’re excited to get back our favourite hobby- blogging. We hope you’re ready for us!

Edmonton has had its share of snow, wind, grey skies and a chill in the air for a few months now and I’m ready for warmer weather. Reality check: It’s not happening. So, what’s a girl to do? Keep herself warm (and stylish) of course!

My hubby and I are huge ski bums (as you may have noticed from Instagram photos), and while we were in the mountains a few weeks ago I realized how much I actually like cold weather attire. I love seeing a great winter weather ensemble- cool coats, boots, hats, gloves, scarves… and the list goes on. There’s something great about sporty, comfortable, and cute cold weather dressing that I really love.

Obviously, NOW is the time to purchase your winter gear because it’s on sale and typically pricey pieces can be found for a steal (woop woop). In fact, at this time last year I was lucky enough to score my Sorel boots and I love, repeat, love them. They’ve kept me warm and dry this winter and they look just as good in the city as they do in the Rockies! Thank you, Sorel. I need more of you. A pair in every colour, perhaps.

Not sure how to put together a cold weather outfit? Look no further! I've been perusing the goods and have found some favourites that I've been looking forward to sharing with you. For a fun look, I can't get enough of a bright white coat that lets other colours pop. Pink boots? Yes please. And these faux fur mittens have my name all over them!

For a more serious look that's still comfy and casual, grey and black are a great solution. These boots are similar to the ones that I have, and how cute is this neck warmer?! You won't even need lipstick ;)

Stay warm and happy shopping!

XO, Sarah
