Luxe for Less: Copper Pendant

As you know from Diana's post last week, we're really digging COPPER. The feedback we got says that you're also vibin' on this warm metal. So our Luxe for less this week includes a gorgeous copper pendant featured in Di's post. This one.

I know you read this blog for a history lesson, so here we go. Italian architect/designer Roberto Menghi created the Globo di Luce Pendant all the way back in 1968. If I might say so myself, this design has aged gracefully, as it's now 45 years old and is still lookin' fly. The globe is made of blown glass and a transparent cable gives the illusion of floating in mid air, pretty neat-o stuff. With a price tag of $1,355 (Sold exclusively at one of my fave's DWR) the longevity of this piece does come at a cost. So for you, our gorgeous smart savvy readers, we've sourced out another couple of versions that are a little easier on the pocket book for this week's Luxe for Less.
