Diana's Picks

1. Tavern 1903

Last Saturday after an amazing show at the Winspear, James and I found ourselves starving and in serious need of some good food.  Lucky for us, Tavern 1903 was nearby.  With half of the restaurant contemporary and half designed as a recreation of the original tavern of the Alberta hotel the vibe was laid back and the food was so good that I will definitely not be waiting long to go back. Must try- the truffle oil mac & cheese.

2. 25 Mother's Day Craft and Decor Ideas from Martha Stewart

Leave it to Martha to give us 25 Mother's Day decorating ideas.  Hosting your mama or family for a special brunch or dinner next weekend? Well look no further for inspiration.  One of my favorite ideas was this unique centerpiece that also doubles as an appetizer or part of the meal. Food that is not only tasty but doubles as decor is a double win in my books, thanks Martha!

Sarah's Picks

1. Bare Minerals Ready SPF 20 Foundation

As much as l like to experiment, I always find my way back to my mineral makeup from Bare Minerals (I wear Golden Fair). I love that it's anti-bacterial, good for my skin, and long lasting! The coverage is totally buildable, so I can use next to nothing in some areas and cover up imperfections in others. Not only that, but I get SPF coverage for my fair skin and avoid parabens, sufates, and phthalates (say that three times)! Win-win.

2. Moroccanoil Hair Treatment

This is another beauty staple of mine that I can't live without! I'd buy it for the scent alone (OMG), but the fact that it's amazing for my hair and keeps it totally soft and tangle-free is a huge plus! I use a quarter sized amount and comb it through my wet hair to add moisture before heat styling. Sometimes I also use a dime sized amount on dry hair (no more or it could look greasy) to soften and shine, or before bed for an extra nourishing overnight treatment.

1. J Crew Blakely Printed Pumps

These shoes are so lovely. The yellow, the grey, the chunky heel. What's not to love about this demure, classic piece?
Pair with a charcoal grey pencil skirt and a flowy white top to bring your work wardrobe into summer!

2. RGE RD

Rated one of the top restaurants in Edmonton, I was lucky enough to check this place out for my Birthday dinner last night. Going all out, we went for the "Range Trip" a 6 course, wine paired, nearly 3 hour long dinner. The standout plate was the seared scallops. The best I've ever had (pictured).
