Holiday Home Tour Part One: Front Entry & Living Room
Well friends today is a very exciting dayyyyyy!!! I’m so happy to share with you part one of my holiday home tour - showing off my front entry and living room’s holiday style….
It should come as no surprise that my holiday style is a more modern and minimalist. This year I went a bit more monochromatic in my main spaces using mainly greenery, neutrals and silver and gold metallics.
Let’s take a closer look at the front entry to start…..
It’s funny that the smallest space in my home is my favourite to decorate! I like to think that my front entry shows that you don’t need a large space to make a major impact!
The console table in our front entry is the starting point for anything I do in this space. If you have a small entry space - this table is ideal! It’s functional enough to allow for baskets/ottomans underneath but at less than a foot deep, it fits in the nook of small entry ways perfectly!
Anywhoo- I love that the table is the perfect modern set up for any decor styling. For my minimalist and slightly Scandinavian feel, the light wood is ideal and the pop of black metal ties in perfectly with the black round mirror.

Now let’s head into the living room….
Because of the size of our tree I have to swap the location of our armchairs and the daybed to create space and it’s a fun change up for the room! Right now our living room decor is fairly neutral so it works well with the minimalist holiday vibe we’re going for. Our tree is decorated with mostly silver and gold for a monochromatic metallic look but I have a whole posting coming soon about our tree so for now, let’s focus on the rest of the decor!
When it comes to decorating I never take myself too seriously and I love adding small holiday touches in unexpected ways. I think my favourite part of the decor in this room is the modern wreath over our artwork. Have fun with your holiday decorating and add quirky touches!!
Lots of texture, throws, faux furs and greenery round out my decor faves. I’m not a huge fan of red but the smallest pop of red with the faux cranberries is just enough for me for that festive feel. White snow globes, holiday candles and LOTS of fresh greenery are my holiday decor must haves for this year. I basically swapped out all of my faux/dried greenery and flowers from my vases for fresh greenery and it immediately adds a subtle but impactful holiday touch!
Hot tip: I picked up my fresh real greenery for $6 per bundle from Safeway! Yay for a great affordable grocery store find! haha
