Modern Country Living Room
Ooh you guys...I've been so excited to share today's post! I love getting to work on projects like this, where everything comes together just so and the result is oh so beautiful! You might remember last week I shared the entry revamp for this country meets modern home and today I'm sharing the redesigned living space.
This home is the perfect balance of rustic charm and contemporary elements so I wanted to select pieces that would honour both styles and compliment one another. Now I may be a bit biased but I think we did just that!
I cannot tell you how much I freaking adore this Gena sectional from The Brick. It is so comfortable (I obviously had to test it out myself!) and it's just stunning. The clean lines and fresh colour make for a perfect starting point for this space. Once we nailed down the largest piece, next up were the chairs. I loved the Paige sofa that we used in the Glenora house living room so much that I wanted to use the chairs from the same line in this one. The stone colour in the chairs is perfect for complimenting the various colours in the fireplace.
The Gena ottoman acts as the perfect substitute for a coffee table. When you opt for an ottoman vs a hard surface coffee table, all you need is a large scale tray for your decorative or functional needs! The smaller Chilton ottomans are great pieces that can float around and act as side tables or additional seating plus the dark leather and stud details are a great contrast to the lighter fabric sectional.
What do you think of this space? I love the mix of different styles, what about you?!
