The Joy of Happy Mail

Happy Monday! I want to start this week off on a thoughtful note and talk about the joy of 'happy mail'. These days where everything comes via text or email or 'the cloud', it's so nice to receive something other than a bill or flyers in the mail.

If you've been following this blog for a while chances are you've heard me mention my unnatural love of paper goods. Wrapping paper, scrapbook paper, napkins, stationery, tags and heck even paper plates are all a bit of an obsession of mine. If it's pretty and it's made of paper, chances are I'll love it! haha So, after quite a while of this obsession, I began to accumulate quite the collection of cards and stationery so I started to use them.

I love to send out thank you cards as often as I remember to do so. Thank you cards are perfect for a friend or family member who helped you through a tough time, or for a colleague who went out of your way to help you with a project. They're great for someone who gave you a thoughtful gift or a friend or family who let you stay with them while you visited from out of town. Really, the occasions to send a thank you card are endless. I try to send thank you's after I collaborate with a new business or work on a project with a new client. Thank you cards are a thoughtful way to let someone know that what they did was important. And in this day in age, a small reminder like that can really brighten someone's day.

In addition to sending thank you cards, something I've recently started using is personal stationery to send cards and notes. When I came across the site Basic Invite, my first stop was to the personal stationery section to check out their styles and colors. I was amazed at how many color options there were. Within the stationery styles, every color, font and wording can be personalized to suit your needs and aesthetic. I also love that you can order samples to see and feel the stationery in person before placing your final order.

After narrowing down a few styles and changing up some colors and wording I placed my order for a few samples! I loved that in addition to being able to customize my stationery or cards, there were over 40 peel and seal envelope colors to choose from! And while for my purpose of my personal stationery this wasn't necessary, I loved that they have a free address collection service to request your addresses with just three simple steps. Share a link, collect addresses, and get free envelope printing. This would be perfect if you needed to gather addresses for a birthday party or for couples baby shower invitations

So thank you cards and personal stationery make great 'happy mail' but it doesn't stop there. Sure e-invites are great but don't you love when you actually get a beautiful invitation or card in the mail too? Party invitations, baby girl shower invitations or baby boy shower invitations,  save the date cards, and holiday cards all make for great 'happy mail'.

When I received my personal stationery samples I was like a kid at Christmas! It was so great to see the colors and feel the stationery in person and now, I have some gorgeous stationary to use! These were the samples I ordered - what do you think?
